Christmas at Grandparents (Skillett)

12/25: After opening gifts at home, we packed up and headed to Waco. On the way down, it was around lunch time and we were starving. We had ran the groceries out at home because we were leaving for a long weekend. After talking to Mom and finding out that we'd be eating a late lunch or early dinner, we decided to go to IHOP in Hillsboro. Of course, it was the only thing open... After an hour and being stuffed, we headed out to finish the trip to Waco.

It was nice to spend some time with my brother Curt and his girlfriend Cynthia.


It wasn't long before the kids were itching to open the gifts.



After getting through the excitement of the gifts, it was time to eat. Though we were still stuffed from "lunch", we shared a meal with everyone. After everyone got done eating, Sarah was chomping at the bit for a bike ride with Grandpa. They went for a long ride and it was the first time they didn't have to come back for a bathroom break. Once they got back, Curt decided to take the old people's bike out. He has a custom motorcycle at home that he rides when he isn't working.


After all of the excitement from the day was over, we went to sleep and got ready for the drive to Big Spring the next day. Its not a bad drive once we get there...its just being able to stay awake on the very straight I-20 after Abilene.
